Our agreement
These terms cover this website and the services provided by Lavoie Systems LLC, a Massachusetts company. When you order a service, these terms apply together with the scope and price you accept in writing. Browsing this site or booking a free call does not start a paid subscription.
Any separately agreed client terms take priority where they differ from this page. Existing clients keep the rights and commitments in their current agreements.
Your website service
We build and manage websites for garage door companies. Your complete website build has no separate charge when you subscribe to our paid monthly service. There is no setup fee or minimum term. Your subscription provides use of the website and the ongoing services you choose.
Our active website plans include research, writing, design, mobile layout, search setup, hosting, maintenance, fixes, unlimited requested updates and monthly reporting. Ongoing SEO, articles and Google Business Profile care depend on your agreed plan. We confirm the work included and the monthly price before you sign up.
We build each site with custom code and manage its hosting and technical setup. This is a managed website service, with changes handled by us.
Monthly billing and domain costs
Your agreed monthly service fee is billed in advance and renews automatically each month until you cancel. The amount, billing date and any applicable taxes are disclosed before payment. The free build does not make the ongoing service free.
If we buy or renew a domain for you, we bill you for its actual registration or renewal cost separately from the website service. Any additional services or costs must be agreed before we charge you.
Cancel anytime
You can cancel future renewals at any time by emailing matt@lavoiesystems.com or calling (508) 979-6234. There is no minimum notice period or cancellation fee. Tell us which business or website the request concerns, and we’ll confirm your service end date in writing.
Your website and agreed service continue through the end of the monthly period you have already paid for. At that point, recurring website billing and hosting end, and the website comes offline. We do not issue prorated refunds for the unused portion of a paid month, except where required by law.
Eligible existing clients can ask about a hosting-only option that keeps their completed website online. Hosting-only service does not include requested changes, ongoing improvements, SEO work, articles or Google profile care, and the 24-hour update guarantee does not apply. We confirm eligibility and price before you switch.
Your content, domain and website files
You keep your business content, including copy, photos and branding, along with your leads and data. You can take that material with you when you leave. Your domain can also be transferred into an account you control, whether you remain a client or cancel.
Lavoie Systems retains the finished website files, source code, reusable components and build tools. These are not transferred to you, and our current subscription does not include a website buyout. The free build provides use of the managed website while your subscription is active, rather than ownership of its code.
For domains we manage in our registrar accounts, you can request a transfer to your own account, subject to the registrar’s transfer and verification requirements. We do not withhold your domain, content or data to keep you subscribed.
The 24-hour update guarantee
For active website plans, requested changes within your agreed plan go live within 24 clock hours after we receive your request and all required materials. This includes weekends, holidays and design changes. Additional pages outside your plan require a separate agreement.
This guarantee covers requested updates to your website. It does not promise a 24-hour initial website launch, a particular Google ranking, or a timetable for actions controlled by a third party. If a requested update is overdue, contact us so we can address it.
What we need from you
You provide accurate business details, photos, reviews and any access needed for the agreed work. Only send material you own or have permission to use. You review and approve the website before it goes live and let us know when your services, contact details or other business information change.
You remain responsible for the accuracy of your business claims, your permissions to publish customer information and the legal requirements that apply to your business. We can publish the legal notices you supply or approve.
Search performance and outside services
We build for speed, usability and a strong search foundation. Where your plan includes ongoing SEO, we review performance and make improvements where useful. We do not guarantee particular rankings, traffic, leads, bookings or revenue.
Hosting, domain registrars, Google and other providers have their own systems and policies. Their outages, processing times and decisions can affect availability or results. We handle the support and maintenance included in your service, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted third-party services.
Calls, email and text messages
We use the contact details you provide to discuss your inquiry, appointments and service. If you opt in to text messages, message frequency varies and your carrier’s message and data rates may apply. Text consent is optional and is not a condition of buying our service.
Reply STOP to stop texts or HELP for help. You can also contact us by email or phone. We do not send promotional text messages. Our privacy policy explains how we handle contact information and communications.
Responsibility and applicable law
To the extent permitted by law, Lavoie Systems is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from use of this website or our services. Our total liability for a service-related claim is limited to the service fees you paid us during the three months before the claim arose. These limits do not exclude liability or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Massachusetts law governs these terms, and disputes are handled in Massachusetts courts, subject to any mandatory rights or applicable law that cannot be waived.
Changes to these terms
We’ll post updates here with a revised date. Material changes to an active client’s service terms will be communicated directly before they take effect. Updating this page does not remove rights in an existing agreement or retroactively change an accepted service commitment.
